A Special Location for a Special Enterprise

At the Martinsried location in Munich, Octapharma Biopharmaceuticals GmbH founded its company headquarters in a place filled with “birds of a feather.”
Already known worldwide as the leading center for biotechnological research, the Innovation and Foundation Center for Biotechnology (Innovations- und Gründerzentrum Biotechnologie: IZB) has been at the address “Am Klopferspitz.” 

The affiliated companies find the ideal space for their research activities in this 14,700 square meters area. Around 50 biotechnology companies are already headquartered at Martinsried. In the immediate environment there is also the Max-Planck-Institut für Neurobiologie, the Gen-Zentrum der Münchener Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU), the Universitätsklinikum Großhadern as well as the chemistry, pharmacy, and biology departments of LMU München.
